Prof. Youshaa Patel’s book recognized by the American Academy of Religion
Prof. Youshaa Patel‘s book, The Muslim Difference: Defining the Line between Believers and Unbelievers from Early Islam to the Present (Yale University Press, 2022), was a finalist for two recent book awards. The American Academy of Religion is the flagship scholarly guild for religious studies scholars in North America. Its annual book awards recognize achievement in the study of religion. Specifically, The Muslim Difference was a finalist in two categories:
- Best First Book in the History of Religions
- Award for Excellence in the Study of Religion, Textual Studies
